Fri May 30 | Artist Talk: de Brakke Grond | Live Visuals: Clubnight 1: Garage Noord

Tharim Cornelisse is a digital artist based in Amsterdam. With a focus on generative design, CGI, and real-time visuals his work tries to translate abstract things into comprehensible feelings. His work is intertwined with electronic music and nightlife, and often takes the shape of collaborative A/V performances and moving image projects.

Artist Talk

In his artist talk, Tharim will invite us into his creative world and ongoing research. He will explore playful and imaginative ways to ask big questions like: What aspects of reality can we shift to create the feeling that there is more than meets the eye? Drawing from years of experimentation, he’ll share images, ideas, and recurring patterns that have shaped his practice. With a focus on creation and curiosity, Tharim will offer a glimpse into his works that blur the line between what is and what could be.

Live Visuals

During our first clubnight on Friday May 30 at Garage Noord, Tharim will use a new, experimental way of image processing and software use to perform live visuals during the night. The spatial design of the scenography is co-designed with George Kelly. Expect dreamy yet sharp compositions that blur the line between reality and glitch-infused imagery.
