General Info
-
FIBER Festival (founded in 2011) is an indoor arts & music festival, with a focus on audiovisual art/performances, digital culture and experimental electronic music. Based in Amsterdam, it works with various cultural institutes in the city. Most of the festival editions offer a programme which consists of concert evenings, a two-day context programme (interviews, panels and artist talks) and two club nights. For professional visitors working in audiovisual art, design and music practices, we offer a series of meet-ups.
-
FIBER Festival takes place from Thursday, May 29 to Sunday, June 1, 2025 across several locations in Amsterdam.
You can find more information on the festival timetable on our website from Thursday, May 8. For a detailed listing of all our festival locations, you can check our venue page. -
Unfortunately, for this edition of the Festival, our sign-ups for volunteers are already closed. If you wish to take part in the Festival next year make sure to check our communication channels around the end of March 2026.

Although we really appreciate the effort of keeping the memories of our festival on your phone or camera, we would like you to keep your fellow visitors in mind. Small cameras are advised (press photographers, please contact us at jannes@fiber-space.nl), and keep your phone or camera away from other people’s line of sight. No photos are allowed at Garage Noord.

Every year we work on improvements to provide a safer space for our visitors, artists, team and volunteers. If anything did happen during the festival, on boundary-violating or transgressive behaviour or an unpleasant experience that you would like to share with us, please get in touch via: safety@fiber-space.nl
You will be in contact with someone from our team who will support you further. In doing so, we are also affiliated with MORES, which means we can also put you in touch directly with an external confidential counsellor. You can also get in touch with them directly: https://www.mores.nl/en/steun-nodig
If you witness anything happening to others at the festival and want to report it, please go to one of our ticket desks (daytime) or the bar staff at the evening/night venues. They will inform their trusted coordinator and us of the unwanted behavior. You can also contact the above email address. We will check it regularly during the festival.
Don't hold back on sharing things, in fact, we are here to support you should anything have happened.

Policies
-
Because we find ourselves in a global climate emergency, every festival edition FIBER is working in areas to increase sustainability and reduce festival impact. We actively work to minimise flights: short-haul flights are converted as much as possible to train journeys and all flights are offset. This is a collaborative conversation and process with artists, agents and everyone who is part of the mobility of art and culture. Work is being done to cut-out and reduce (single-use) plastic use at the festival. We don’t provide plastic bottles with beverages. Artist and crew catering is always vegetarian, and often entirely plant-based. We will add more steps and areas of development in the near future.
-
Yes, and so should everyone :)
FIBER follows the Fair Practice Code (Dutch), which sets out clear fees for artists, researchers, crew, team members and interns. We engage with artists and team members to learn and continue to improve financial situations.Fair Practice Code -
FIBER follows and acts through a Code of Conduct:
We follow a zero tolerance policy: no racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, cissexist, ableist or otherwise oppressive behaviour is allowed, casual or explicit. This includes any harmful language, behaviour, or action toward anyone. We take extra care of creating a safe and accommodating space for the needs of people of colour, trans folks and people in need of more physical or cognitive support. We won't tolerate any harassment.
We follow an upgraded version of the Berlin Code of Conduct. Please read about it here.
