Interferences: Live
Fri May 30 | Music & Performances | 10:15 – 11:15
Goethe-Institut
"Interferences: Live" explores radio’s colonial legacy. From 1927, colonial powers like the Dutch used radio to dominate Southeast Asia—until locals countered with their own broadcasts. This live radio play by meLê yamomo, performed by Krishna Sutedja (gamelan) and Thijs van den Geest, interrogates global understanding—and its collapse.

Festival Keynote Lecture

On Friday afternoon, the festival keynote lecture will take place aligned with the theme Wildness. It is a great honour for us to invite Dr. Stacy Alaimo (remote) and visionary artist Josèfa Ntjam to the opening keynote event. Both speakers will - quite fitting - take a deep dive into ocean waters, to encounter abyssal creatures, reflect on colonial histories and extraction, arriving at fundamental questions about our relationship with the deep wild.

Festival Drinks: 16:00 - 17:30
Location: de Brakke Grond
Address: Nes 43
